I offer an experience, not a tour

I do not organize tours within the meaning of Act No. 159/1999 Coll (in Czech regulations). I am a tour guide and I provide my services as a self-employed person according to the Trade Licensing Act - free trade, "Operation of a travel agency and guide activities in the field of tourism".

I provide guide services that are shared by the participants of the expedition. All other travel services such as transport, meals, entrances and accommodation are provided and paid for by the participants themselves and I act as a source of recommendations, tips and tricks who will be on hand to take part in everything with you at all times.  Before the trip, we will meet and share our expectations for the trip together.

What does the composition of the participants look like?

You can sign up as an individual, a couple, a family or even a group of travelers. There is freedom in the choice of accommodation, so we can sleep in a single/double room depending on preference, but there is often the option to sleep in a shared room with other travellers. The choice is yours and everything will be up to the group to agree. There will be an opportunity to meet and communicate with others in the WhatsApp group created before the trip.

What is the enrollment process?

• First, I will collect non-binding applications, in which I will be happy if you share your expectations from the trip to avoid any misunderstandings
• Once the minimum number of non-binding registrations has been reached, you will be contacted to confirm your interest in signing up bindingly and we will set a specific date for the trip based on your preferences. This date will then be posted on the website for any other interested parties.
• We will assemble the team and start dealing with organizational matters - collecting deposits, dealing with airline tickets and sharing pre-departure information

What requirements should a participant in the trip meet?

The participant: 

• is independent
• is sociable and likes to communicate
• is respectful of other expedition members and respects the instructions of the guide
• enjoys exploring new places and foreign cultures
• does not require luxury, can cope with basic accommodation
• is in normal physical condition
• likes to eat where the locals eat

Why some dates are only indicative?

I try to accommodate those who sign up first. Therefore, if it is within my means, I offer trips in a very wide range and then we choose a specific date within that range. When the capacity is full, there is a possibility to announce another date, more specific.

What is included in the price?

The basic price of the expedition includes only the guide services, i.e. your participation in the trip. The approximate prices for on-site expenses are listed in the description of the trip.

Other things such as local transport, food, accommodation and entrance fees are handled on the spot and are paid for by each participant. We will never be completely off the infrastructure so there is no need to worry about not finding accommodation. I have gathered many contacts from my previsous travels in East Africa that will be on hand to help us. 

Is it possible to change the length of the trip individually?

Absolutely. If you would like to extend the trip and include some of your individual program, it is not a problem to discuss the possibilities in advance. Likewise, if you need to shorten the trip, you can disconnect from it. I will be happy to help you come up with an alternative ending or beginning. We will never be far from civilization, so customization will be no problem.
